A talented theater director suffers from a persistent form of anonymity. His love for his art will lead him to kidnap the customers of the supermarket where he works to use them to stage the most truthful representation of Romeo and Juliet ever seen, all live on social media, where his madness is supported by likes. But the truth comes at high costs, as the customers will soon discover.
Synopsis Marco is a talented theater director. His professional life, however, is a resounding failure. Excellent reviews, but very little audience. This is a condition, also motivated by the author's upright nature, who does not compromise and seeks radical adherence to truth in his performances. Exasperated, Marco hatches a madness that explodes inside a supermarket. There, with clients and salespeople employed as actors and technicians, he sets up his version of “Romeo and Juliet”. A moving, necessary, extremely realistic show. Success runs through social networks, with hits of "like". And it's great. But also very dangerous. Soon, the thrilling Shakespeare at the supermarket turns into a tragedy. For real.
Tommaso Ferrero & Alberto Fumagalli // Directors & Writers Alberto Fumagalli (1990) and Tommaso Ferrero (1995) were born in the province of Bergamo but trained in Rome and Turin, respectively in theatrical direction and dramaturgy and in screenplay and film direction. Together they founded the artistic collective Les Mustaches. They craft two winning shows at the Fringe Festival in Milan and Rome, with subsequent national and international awards. Their first short film, Blu, is now screening in various international festivals. With a form of research based on beautiful stories and good storytelling, they both work on different projects, shifting their attention between various forms of expression.
Davide Mogna // Producer Davide Mogna is a twenty-year-old Italian film producer. He made his debut in 2017 with "Bullies half and half”, a self-produced film, self-distributed in cinemas all over Italy that reached thousands of spectators and school students, now available on DVD and on the main streaming platforms. In 2019, on the strength of the experience gained from a very young age, he founded in Turin his own production company, NewGen Entertainment, with the aim of discovering and accompanying new talents towards success in the film industry. He currently works in NewGen as CEO and Producer.
